Significance is Chicago-bound this weekend to take part in the annual Joint Statistical Meetings. We are looking forward to a packed schedule of interesting talks as well as the opportunity to meet past and future contributors to our magazine and website. If you are a regular reader, have thought about writing for us but haven't yet done so, and are in Chicago between 30 July and 4 August, we have a couple of events for you to attend.

On Tuesday, 2 August, we are taking part in two sessions organised by Wiley (the publishers of our magazine). First, between 3pm and 4pm, we are holding a series of speed-pitching sessions, where authors can arrange a one-to-one meeting to discuss articles ideas or receive feedback on early drafts. Then, from 5.30pm, there is an author workshop called 'Get Your Paper Published', where we will talk through the process of submitting an article to Significance.

To book a place at either session, you can register online or in person at the Wiley booth at the JSM Expo.

If you are not able to attend either session, but would still like to meet us during JSM, we will be at the Wiley booth between 4pm and 5pm on 2 August. You can also search for 'Brian Tarran' in the 'Attendees' section of the official JSM app, and arrange a meeting that way.
